goddamnit. if only people actually bought shenmue(2) and seaman, maybe it'd have the same love that yakuza is always getting. well, back to my dreamcast to live out my disillusioned life.

oh yeah, Reggie and the Full Effect - Last Stop Crappy Town was totally worth the wait.

life: hey man, what's up?
me: yo; oh, the usual.
life: i've got something you'll be glad to hear.
me: oh yeah? lay it on me; i'm all ears.
life: i know i haven't been exactly ideal these days.
me: you don't say.
life: i deserve that.
me: yes, you do.
life: anyway, i've made the decision to get my act together and not suck nearly as much anymore.
me: finally.
life: i promise to not be so disappointing and unfulfilling.
me: well, thanks.

[Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Sandrock 1/144 HG Model Kit]

i'm also winning an auction for this at the moment
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
[Gundam Wing Endless Waltz H-Arms Custom 1/144 HG Model Kit]

the model kits for Endless Waltz are fucking amazing, which is in large part due to the fact that they're High Grade models. hopefully i'll be able to get my hands on all of them.

expect many a picture when they arrive and i begin assembly.

oh yeah, Radiohead's In Rainbows is spectacular. much better than Hail to the Thief, and possibly as good as Amnesiac. not as good as OK Computer, of course. speaking of which, check this out:

some guy found connections between In Rainbows and OK Computer and made a tracklist with both albums which he has titled 01 and 10. from what i can tell so far, it still transitions perfectly. one only can wonder whether Yorke and the boys planned for this. it's official, Radiohead fans have replaced Tool fans in the department of overanalyzing.

edit_: i just noticed that i made this entry at 02:22 on 22 October. that's pretty wild. i'm totally playing triple and quadruple 2s in West Virginia lottery today. hah!

Now, two games that will be in the running for Game Of The Year are Bioshock and Halo 3 and guess what, we have a copy of each to give away!!

How do I win it you ask? Simple, we ask the question of which game you want to win GOTY, you answer the question with which one you think, enter your gamertag and we enter you in a random draw for that game.

Competition ends: 26th October 2007 at 14:00 GMT

my contribution, OR my feeble attempt at netting a copy of BioShock

Game of the Year pick: BioShock

Reason: 2K Boston and 2K Australia were able to bring innovation to a genre that everybody assumed could not be improved any further beyond a few tweaks to former ideas. The introduction of Plasmids adds a level of depth to the game which is enough to set it aside from any other FPS that's been released in recent years. Also, Big Daddies and Little Sisters give the game a sense of suspense due to you not always knowing just where they might show up. Even the game's setting is both aesthetically fresh and impressive. If you would have told me a couple of years ago there would be an FPS that took place in an underwater city that had an Art Deco design, I would have call ed you crazy and at the same time desperately yearn for such a game. So far, I have only had the pleasure of playing the BioShock demo, but it certainly has left a lasting impression on me. Although Halo 3 is a very good game which brings it's own innovations to the established series and genre, respectively, Bungie failed to break outside of the box the way 2KGames has done with BioShock. Master Chief has finally met his match in Jack.

Gamertag: atomysktrue

i probably didn't need to write that much. but, it's been a while since i've written my opinion about anything; and it felt good to type all of that without having to stop and search for something to say not even once. yay for composition!
